How planning works
A responsible cosmetic plan explains what can change, what should be treated first, and which choices are optional before you commit.
Step 1
We discuss what bothers you, then evaluate the teeth, gums, bite, existing dental work, and any imaging the case needs.
Step 2
We explain what whitening, bonding, veneers, Invisalign, or restorative care could accomplish—and where each has limits.
Step 3
Health treatment comes first. Cosmetic steps are ordered so whitening, alignment, and final restorations work together.
Step 4
You receive a written plan with expected stages, fees, alternatives, and payment options before deciding.
Cost and financing
There is no honest single cosmetic-dentistry price because a one-tooth bonding repair and a multi-step smile makeover are completely different plans. We provide treatment-specific fees after the exam instead of advertising a package that may not fit your mouth.
Common questions
Straight answers about choosing a cosmetic dentist, candidacy, results, treatment sequence, and cost.
A cosmetic dentist evaluates how tooth color, shape, position, proportions, gums, bite, and existing dental work affect the appearance of a smile. Treatment may involve whitening, bonding, veneers, Invisalign, crowns, or a coordinated combination. The plan should protect health and function while addressing the patient’s goals.
Choose based on the cause of the concern. Whitening changes color in natural teeth. Bonding can conservatively reshape or repair small areas. Veneers can change the visible color and proportions of selected teeth. Invisalign moves teeth when position or spacing is the issue. An exam helps avoid using a more invasive treatment for a problem with a simpler solution.
Yes. Active decay, infection, gum disease, unstable teeth, or uncontrolled bite problems should be addressed before elective cosmetic treatment. A healthy foundation makes the result safer and more predictable.
Yes, when the plan respects facial features, tooth proportions, gum levels, color variation, and the way the teeth function together. Natural-looking does not mean one identical shade or shape for every patient; it means the result fits the individual.
Cost depends on the treatment, number of teeth, materials, laboratory work, health of the starting teeth, and complexity. Cosmetic care is usually not covered by insurance. Southern Smiles provides a written, treatment-specific estimate and reviews payment options after the exam.
Cosmetic dentistry is the broader category of treatments that improve smile appearance. A smile makeover is an individualized plan that coordinates two or more treatments—or carefully sequences health, alignment, and cosmetic care—around a larger goal.
Start with your concerns, not a procedure name. We will examine your mouth, compare the realistic options, and give you a written plan before you decide.
